Disney XD Latin America has picked up the Pay TV rights to the animated series BondiBand, a joint venture between Exim Licensing Group, Ledafilms and Mondo Spain based on an original idea by IAM.

The 52 x 11-minute series, which has been almost fully produced in Argentina, follows a group of six rock musician friends who have the power to transform their musical instruments into evil-fighting gadgets. The series features more than a dozen original songs that target the four-to-11 demo.

Advanced negotiations are currently underway with major toy manufacturers, video game producers and back-to-school merchandisers.
