Spanish production and distribution house Imira Entertainment has brokered deals with Iberian broadcasters for two of its third-party youth properties, The Jungle Book and Dance Academy.

Spain’s national public service broadcaster TVE has acquired season one of DQ Entertainment’s The Jungle Book. The show has also been picked up by Disney Channel, which has taken seasons one and two, plus a one-hour special, to air in Spain and Portugal.

In a separate deal, Spain’s Disney Channel has acquired Dance Academy seasons one and two. The series, produced by Werner Film Production with Screen Australia, Screen NSW, ABC, ACTF, ZDF and ZDF Enterprises, is a live-action drama series for tweens and teens that follows a 15-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a dancer.
