Random House Children’s Books has launched a How Rocket Learned to Read for iPad app based on Tad Hills’s reading-based picture book. The app retails for US$7.99 and features an array of interactive educational games focused on reading and writing.

This is the first app for Schwartz & Wade, the imprint that published the original book in July 2010.

Random House collaborated with advertising agency Domani Studios to create the app, which joins the publishing house’s recent Wild About Books for iPad, which was developed in partnership with Smashing Ideas.
