In an effort to promote the new Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games for the Nintendo DS, The Pokémon Company is hosting a multi-city US mall tour starting February 5.
The 14-city tour will give fans an opportunity to interact with the new titles, which have already debuted in Japan. The promotion is also kicking off a busy year ahead for the franchise, which is set to release more activities, entertainment, and products throughout 2011.
The mall tour will feature video game demo areas as well as a free screening of the new Pokémon feature-length film, Pokémon – Zoroark: Master of Illusions, at theaters located at the mall tour stops. Pokémon character meet and greets with new Pokémon Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott, a mall-wide scavenger hunt, a special Celebi character distribution at GameStop stores and a Pokémon Center store offering merchandise are also part of the promo.
The Pokémon Black Version and White Version Tour will run every weekend through March 20 and will overlap with the games’ official US retail launch on March 6.
