Strawberry Shortcake charity campaign raises US$75,000

American Greetings Properties' recent collaboration with US-based nonprofit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) has helped raise more than US$75,000 to support the fight against childhood cancer.

American Greetings Properties’ recent collaboration with US-based nonprofit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) has helped raise more than US$75,000 to support the fight against childhood cancer.

The aim of the campaign, which ran from September to November, was to raise national awareness and support fundraising efforts for childhood cancer research through Strawberry Shortcake-branded Alex’s Lemonade Stands. For each of the nearly 240 Strawberry Shortcake Lemonade Stands contributed US$50 to ALSF.

ALSF emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra ‘Alex’ Scott. To date, the charity has raised more than US$35 million, funding more than 150 research projects across the US.
