Sesame Workshop’s literacy series The Electric Company is set to kick off its third season on February 7 on PBS Kids Go! The 12 new episodes, targeting kids ages six to nine, will introduce new cast members and a particularly math vocabulary-based curriculum.
The Electric Company aims to boost dropping US math scores by providing children with the language to discuss, explore and further their understanding of numeracy concepts.
The show’s website will also relaunch with three new interactive games and expanded community features on Feb 7. And plans are in store for the brand’s first mobile app, which will launch in early 2011.
