India-based animation, gaming and live-action prodco DQE has signed an exclusive publishing licensing deal for The Jungle Book through its merchandising agent in Germany, ZDF Enterprises, with publishing house Egmont.

Egmont now has the right to manufacture and distribute books based on the CGI-animated series throughout German-speaking Europe in a variety of formats, including character books, friendship books, school diaries, pop-up books, comic books, painting books and poster books.

DQE has also forged a non-exclusive licensing deal for The Jungle Book brand with Belgium-based Belltex, who will manufacture and distribute bed linen and similar products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
