DHX preschool series make way in Asia

With next month's Asia Television Forum in the mainframe, Toronto, Canada-based DHX Media has scored a series of broadcast and home entertainment deals for its preschool slate in Asia.

With next month’s Asia Television Forum in the mainframe, Toronto, Canada-based DHX Media has scored a series of broadcast and home entertainment deals for its preschool slate in Asia.

In Malaysia & Brunei, the Astro platform has picked up the exclusive rights to all 52 x 22-minute episodes of illustrative preschool series Franny’s Feet, as well as all 65 x 22-minute episodes of reading-based preschool show Super WHY!, which has also been picked up by InnoForm Media for home video in the territory and by Media Link for home video in Thailand.

A VOD deal with Korea’s JCG has been set for Franny’s Feet and 65 episodes of Super WHY! . Tarra Group Indonesia has snapped up the rights for home video for 52 eps of Franny’s Feet and additional eps of Cbeebies show Grandpa in My Pocket.
