Disney ‘s FamilyFun magazine, which targets families with children under 12, is reaching out to its audience and advertisers via a new ToyHopper app available for the Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

The app, which allows parents to find and purchase gifts on Amazon.com, covers more than 280 toys that can be filtered by age, price, product and theme. The app also features video demos and personalized wish lists.

Disney is offering integrated sponsorship opportunities within ToyHopper to companies looking to tap into the brand’s audience of 5.4 million. Sponsors will receive a display of their logo on the splash page of ToyHopper and also on a sponsored collection page. Sponsored collections can be customized by theme using products in the editorial database or with incremental sponsor products.

All the products recommended in the ToyHopper app are selected by FamilyFun editors as well as parent and kid testers. The app (US$1.99) also includes picks from the current and past winners of the FamilyFun Toy of the Year Awards.
