ABC Family has greenlit two original pilots that are scheduled to go into production this fall.

In the one-hour drama Nine Lives, 16-year-old Chloe King discovers she’s being pursued by a mysterious figure and soon learns she’s part of an ancient race. Produced by Alloy Entertainment, the drama is based on the book series The Nine Lives of Chloe King by Celia Thomson.

The one-hour scripted drama Switched at Birth, meanwhile, tells the story of two teen girls who discover that they were accidentally switched at birth.
