Turner Media Innovations is teaming with the UK’s Advertising Association to launch the Children’s Ethical Communications Kit (Check), a website that brings together the UK’s existing regulations around marketing to or communicating with children. The industry-led site (www.check.uk.com ) is intended to bridge the knowledge gap that has been brought upon as new marketing techniques proliferate. The Advertising Association’s research shows that more clarity is needed on what constitutes appropriate advertising and marketing to kids, a topic that is becoming increasingly pervasive in the industry.

Through the support of the government, regulators, practitioners and trade bodies, Check offers marketers a guide to the rules and where they apply, based on key campaign elements.
