Family entertainment producer and distributor Chorion is expanding the reach of the Flower Fairies brand into European markets with the appointment of new licensing agents CPLG and Bulls Licensing.

For the first time, CPLG will represent the publishing property in France, Germany, Italy and Benelux, with Bulls Licensing repping the brand across Scandinavia.

The appointments come Flower Fairies develops moves into new licensing categories like apparel. Both agents will work with Chorion to launch programs aimed at younger, more contemporary audiences as well as the more traditional consumer groups in these new territories.

With more than 85 licensees worldwide, the Flower Fairies illustrations have traditionally been strong across collectible products, gifting, stationery, homewares and toy categories. The brand made a move towards the apparel market earlier this year, with programs having launched in Japan, the UK and Italy.

The Flower Fairies brand is based on the original book written by Cicely Mary Barker in 1923.
