American Greetings Properties (AGP), the IP and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, is bringing Care Bears to South Korea this fall, working with Korean licensing agent Asiana Licensing (ALI) to secure a number of licensing deals in key product categories.

Care Bears merchandise will target kids, juniors and babies and will include stationery, pens and notebooks by Seh-A as well as watches and hair accessories by Forever Times. American Greetings and Asiana Licensing will continue to expand the licensing program across all major categories, including apparel. ALI will also be featuring the Care Bears on air at the Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival from July 21 – 25, 2010 in Seoul, Korea.

The Care Bears were first launched in the US in 1982 by American Greetings and since re-launching in 2002 have grown into a billion-dollar global children’s franchise.
