Pocoyize World Cup app gains popularity

Building on the momentum for the FIFA World Cup tournament, Zinkia Entertainment has revealed that its Pocoyize iPhone app, a feature launched last week that allows users to create their own Pocoyo-style character by choosing World Cup shirts from participating countries, has become the second most downloaded app from the Spanish Apple Store.

Building on the momentum for the FIFA World Cup tournament, Zinkia Entertainment has revealed that its Pocoyize iPhone app, a feature launched last week that allows users to create their own Pocoyo-style character by choosing World Cup shirts from participating countries, has become the second most downloaded app from the Spanish Apple Store. To date, more than six million people have used the application via social networks and the iPhone.

The multi-platform Pocoyo brand, based on the original TV series (104 x 7-minutes) co-produced by Zinkia Entertainment and ITV Studios Global Entertainment, now has roughly 300,000 registered users on www.pocoyoworld.com.
