Madrid, Spain-based entertainment brand specialist Zinkia Entertainment has launched a Pocoyize application for the iPhone based on the Pocoyo brand. At the same time Nick Jr. US is now scheduling preschool series Pocoyo daily in the 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. timeslot.

The App, which is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish, allows users to design their own character by visiting the microsite (www.pocoyize.com), where a host of different options are available to define features and style, including World Cup football shirts from each participating country. Completed creations can be used as iPhone profile pictures, sent to friends or posted on social networking sites such as Facebook.

Since Pocoyo made its television debut in 2005, the property has evolved into a multi-platform global brand. The Pocoyize application was launched online by Zinkia last year, garnering roughly five million users. The iPhone App aims to further expand the brand and its global reach.
