Nintendo characters are making their way to the construction world thanks to a new licensing partnership with toyco K’NEX.

Under the agreement, K’NEX will create an integrated construction system of building toys inspired by Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii game.

The new K’NEX Nintendo line will be available at all major US retailers in 2011, and will also include buildable vehicles and obstacles from the Mario Kart Wii game. The building sets will be designed for children ages six and older.
