People moves: Mark Northwood heads to Earth Rangers

Earth Rangers, a Toronto, Canada-based charitable organization dedicated to educating children about the environment, welcomes former Nelvana exec Mark Northwood as co-CEO and president.

Earth Rangers, a Toronto, Canada-based charitable organization dedicated to educating children about the environment, welcomes former Nelvana exec Mark Northwood as co-CEO and president.

Northwood most recently worked atCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana Enterprises, where he managed the its worldwide licensing business and such brands as Bakugan, Beyblade, Babar and Max and Ruby. Prior to Corus Entertainment, heworked for Disney, Thinkway Toys and Hasbro.

Under the new structure, Northwood is looking to build the Earth Rangers brand and the Bring Back the Wild program. Peter Kendall, as co-CEO and executive director, is focusing on developing and growing the Earth Rangers Centre. The pair has been tasked with expanding Earth Rangers into a global children’s brand that educates kids about the importance of protecting biodiversity.
