Cartoon Network has announced the promotion of two programming executives in its original series group.

Tramm Wigzell has been named VP of action adventure, and Nick Weidenfeld will be overseeing comedy development as VP.

Wigzell, who previously served as director of action adventure, original series, will now lead the development for both live-action and animation programming in the action genre. Weidenfeld, meanwhile, look after Cartoon Network’s animation and live-action original comedy programs. Both will report to Rob Swartz, VP of original series. Weidenfeld will also continue to report to Mike Lazzo at Adult Swim, where he has worked on projects including The Boondocks and Moral Orel.
