Walmart sinks teeth into New Moon DVD release

Betting that tween and teen (and their moms’) thirst for related Twilight merch has yet to be quenched, Megaretailer Walmart is marking the release of blockbuster The Twilight Saga: New Moon on DVD at 12:01 a.m. March 20 with the launch of in-store boutiques and weekend full of Twilight-themed events.

All 2,600 24-hour locations throughout the US will have a giveaway for the first 100 fans in line to purchase the DVD, and will also exclusively offer an edition that features a sneak peek at the upcoming third movie in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The in-store Twilight Saga Shops, an area wholly dedicated to Twilight merchandise in each Walmart, will be up and running throughout the spring.
