In the build up to the theatrical release of Toy Story 3, the high-def DVD roll out of Disney-Pixar’s original animated classics Toy Story and Toy Story 2 is underway from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
A Disney Blu-ray and DVD combo pack will hit shelves in March to be followed in May by special edition DVDs. The two CGI films will be presented with 1080p high-definition picture and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio sound, along with hours of new bonus features.
Included on the disks are exclusive sneak peeks at Toy Story 3, hitting U.S. theaters on June 18, 2010. Other special features will include Buzz Lightyear’s mission logs in which Buzz reports back about his adventure to the International Space Station, a look at the careers of Pixar artists, humorous anecdotal shorts about life at the Pixar studios, a look at the creation of the live-action zoetrope that Pixar created to capture the principles of animation and more.
