Nikki Reed is the latest member to join the Disney Channel and Disney XD exec ranks, taking on the role of VP of original series for both nets.

With more than 13 years of experience in feature film and TV series development, Reed will handle new live-action series geared towards kids, tweens and families on Disney Channel and Disney XD, along with other global platforms. She’ll oversee development and execution of original series pilots, recruit series creators, executive producers, writers and directors, and collaborate with the casting department to identify new talent.

Reed comes to the House of Mouse from Universal Cable Productions, where she served as VP of current and development, as well as working as a development exec for Bungalow 78 Productions, and VP of development for Junction Entertainment for Disney Studios, spearheading development of the feature films National Treasure and The Kid.
