In addition to the selling activity in Cannes, there are also a number of co-pros and distribution agreements going on. Read on to find out the latest news with prodcos across the globe.

Toronto-based CCI Entertainment, MotionWorks and Nickelodeon Germany have joined forces to produce the first local version of live-action/CGI series Artzooka!.

The first series, produced in English with Canuck pubcaster CBC and targeting the six-to-10 set, is slated for a fall 2010 launch. The new German format will see a localized website along with an extensive grassroots marketing campaign across Germany.

Belgian prodco Studio100 Media has inked a co-pro and distribution deal with UK’s Wish Films on the new animated series Florrie’s Dragons (52 x 10 minutes), created by founders Will Brenton and Helen Cadwallader

Written by kidlit author An Vrombaut, who also created 64 Zoo Lane, it’s based on the book Dear Dragon published by Hodder Children’s Books. Florrie’s Dragons (52 x 10 mins) targets kids three to six, and the first eps will be available in spring 2010. Full delivery is expected in early 2011 and Studio100 will handle worldwide distribution, excluding the UK, South Africa and Scandinavia.

The UK’s Target Entertainment Group has picked up the international TV rights to Rah Rah! The Noisy Lion (52 x 10 minutes), excluding North America and the UK. The stop-frame animated preschool series is a co-pro with the UK’s Mackinnon & Saunders and Chapman Entertainmen that targets the two-to-four set.
