The Dog Happy Meals rolled out across EMEA in late August, and licensor 4Kids Entertainment has extended the deal with McDonald’s to cover the rest of 2009.
The deal will see a range of exclusive The Dog premiums included in the restaurant’s iconic Happy Meals in participating stores. It’s the third promotion between the two for the IP across Europe, having seen successes in 2005 and 2007.
The promo began in Germany on August 21 and Austria on August 28, and will cover selected territories across EMEA throughout 2009, including Benelux, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Eastern Europe and Russia, Switzerland, Greece, Israel and Morocco. The promo will also be supported by TV advertising and in-store POS materials in select territories.
