A raft of properties in the Nick portfolio will continue making their way around the world, as Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products brings on some new merch partners.

In Germany, NVCP’s extended its agreement with Tortoise-Design to bring vinyl skins for laptops, handys, iPods, MP3 players and game pads to market, all branded with SpongeBob, Avatar, Back to the Barnyard, iCarly and South Park. They’ll be available via distributors, mail-order catalogues, video and video game shops, as well as wholesalers throughout Austria, Germany and Switzerland this summer.

Powerhouse International Fashions in South Africa, meanwhile, has come on-board for a three-year deal that will see SpongeBob and Dora gracing outerwear and sleepwear in Mr Price, Shoprite and Pick n’ Play retail outlets.

In Turkey and Cyprus, NVCP has inked a first-time partnership with back-to-school company Hakan Canta for SpongeBob and Dora school and fashion bags, stationery, packed lunch boxes and umbrellas. They’ll launch this summer at wholesalers and all super and hypermarkets across Turkey, including Carrefour, Migros and Tesco.

On the programming front, Italy’s Mediaset has snapped up iCarly for a second season, while Caracol TV (Colombia) will get its first airings of Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!. Senal Colombia will also get new seasons of the two preschool series, including a Dora special. And in Mexico, seasons one and two of Kappa Mikey will kick off on Canal Once, while a multi-territory deal with Belleville will also bring Avatar and Fairly OddParents to the region.
