Hoping to stir up excitement for end-of-summer reading, PBS Kids is kicking off daily interpretations of classic tales for preschoolers with Super Why! in August.

Super Why Wonderrific Weeks will also see the premiere of four new stories, with each week showcasing eps that feature a different Super Why superhero for viewers to focus on the specific literacy skill embodied by each character. Alpha Pig kicks off the month to help kids learn the alphabet, followed by spelling wiz Princess Presto, vocabulary builder Wonder Red, capping off with Super Why to guide reading comprehension.
