Moving into the online and mobile space, Speed Racer Enterprises is taking The Next Generation and classic animated Speed Racer to a variety of multimedia platforms.

The iTunes App store will carry a Speed Racer App in the games and entertainment category, while full-length episodes of both series will be available on several online service providers including YouTube, Hulu, Joost, and anime/manga fan site, Crunchyroll.

MashON will host a creative social media app for users to create Speedracer mashups by combining their photos, videos and sounds with Speed Racer characters, which can then be distributed across the web, shared on social networks, or produced into different products.

On the mobile side, mobile video streaming aggregator ZooVision has tailored the Speed Racer brands for Nokia’s new N97 handset, which will have both series pre-programmed on more than 200 million new phones rolling out this summer.

SpeedRacer.com is also getting a makeover, to include a safe online world for kids to play games, online activities or download and print coloring pages.
