The Saddle Club rides on with new deals

With French broadcaster Gulli airing the third season of The Saddle Club, its licensing agent in the territory, Marathon Media, is busy rolling out new product for the property.

TF1 will be releasing season three on DVD this month, along with its just-launched second album from Polydor Records. McDonald’s will be introducing a Saddle Club-themed Happy Meal on Wednesday in 1,110 French locations for four weeks. Dargaud is also launching the first Saddle Club comic book album at the beginning of May, while Paperbox just launched a bi-monthly 50-page magazine.

Later in the year, stationery, BTS and plush lines will be rolling out along with and a Horse Encyclopedia with Atlas from de Agostini. Deals for playsets, figurines, puzzles, trading cards and board games are currently in discussions, and Marathon is looking to move The Saddle Club licensing program across Europe.
