Tricon and YTV look for next talent

Following the success of talent series The Next Star, Toronto-based Tricon Films & Television is on the hunt again for its next kid talent.

Commissioned for a second season by Canuck kidnet YTV, Tricon is on board to produce 15 x one-hour new eps of The Next Star, which will zero-in on finding the top entertainer in Canada under 15 years old. After auditioning thousands of young talents, six are chosen for mentoring throughout the series with viewers choosing the winner.

The prodco owns the international format rights and is distributing the finished show worldwide.
