With the Steven Spielberg-directed 3-D motion-capture The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn set to hit the big screen in 2011, Paramount Licensing has declared the property open for consumer products business.

Based on The Adventures of Tintin book series by Georges ‘Herge’ Remi that’s sold more than 200 million copies worldwide, the new film retelling the story of a young reporter in search of a good story is the first in a planned series. The second film is slated to put Lord of the Rings’ director and Tintin co-producer Peter Jackson at the helm.
