As part of the 21st anniversary of the bespectacled, striped sweater-sporting character, Entertainment Rights and Montreal, Canada-based Ludia Entertainment have inked a global multi-year deal that will see Where’s Waldo getting his own video games.

The publishing property is making his way into the gaming world for the first time on consoles, PC/Mac, iPhone and iPod Touch platforms with the title, Where’s Waldo? The Fantastic Journey, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

The games will include scenes and characters from the books, and lets up to four players take a crack at finding Waldo in different themed environments in competitive or co-op modes.

Ludia creates and distributes original and licensed games to the mass market, including titles built around American Idol and The Price Is Right.
