ER expands Where’s Waldo? program for 21st anniversary

Entertainment Rights is stepping up its celebration for the bespectacled striped-shirt Waldo in honor of his 21st birthday by bringing on a raft of new licensing partners.

Entertainment Rights is stepping up its celebration for the bespectacled striped-shirt Waldo in honor of his 21st birthday by bringing on a raft of new licensing partners.

Briefly Stated and Giant Merchandising have signed on to roll out Waldo-themed apparel, including young men’s and junior sleepwear, loungewear and daywear, and young men’s and junior t-shirts and fleece, respectively. The apparel will hit specialty chains, boutiques and department stores this spring, then mass market shelves in 2010.

New partners and products that have also come aboard are Patch Products for family games this coming spring, SmileMakers for health-specific stationery at nationwide dentist offices (take-home supply bags, appointment cards, activity coloring sheets) this March, Sellers Publishing for calendars available for holiday 2009, and Multipet International for pet products (squeaky plush dog toys) this spring.
