Hoping to avoid the predicted slow Christmas retail season, Wayne, New Jersey-based Toys ‘R’ Us is starting its holiday advertising blast on October 22.

Television spots are scheduled to air on more than 20 major networks and will continue throughout the next eight weeks.

The series of 12 themed commercials features the tagline ‘Where kids are a big deal’ and a modern tweak to the ‘I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us Kid’ jingle.

The campaign includes 10 additional commercials showcasing the product assortment available exclusively at Toys R’Us. This series of advertisements featuring kids playing with toys will air on kid-focused programming on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Cartoon Network and Toon Disney.
