Novel Entertainment takes Henry on the road

UK-based prodco Novel Entertainment is taking Horrid Henry from the TV screen to the stage with help from Watershed Productions.

Horrid Henry – Live and Horrid! opens at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre on August 28 with previews from August 26 until September 13.

After that the production will embark on a UK tour to venues including St George’s Hall, Bradford; Swan Theatre, High Wycombe; Churchill Theatre, Bromley; Journal Tyne Theatre, Newcastle; King’s Theatre, Edinburgh; New Theatre, Hull and Liverpool Playhouse. Further dates into 2009 will be announced shortly.

Published by Orion Children’s Books, sales of the Horrid Henry series have exceeded 11.5 million copies in the UK alone.
