Discovery Communications has appointed The Joester Loria Group as its North American licensing agent.
The New York City-based licensing agency is working on launching integrated L&M programs based on new and existing Discovery Communications’ brands and series such as Animal Planet and new 24/7 net PlanetGreen, which launches on June 4. The Discovery Kids brand, however, will continue to be repped by New York-based licensing and marketing agency Big Tent Entertainment.
The media company’s various channel extensions reach more than 1.5 billion cumulative subscribers in over 170 countries. The new licensing push for the Discovery brands will start at Licensing International taking place in New York City in early June.
