London-based 4Kids Entertainment International is following up Artlist International’s photo-based properties The Dog and The Cat with The Pig and will be rooting around for new licensing deals.
Like its predecessors, the new series shows its porcine subjects photographed using a fish-eye lens that enhances their heads and bodies to create highly expressive close-range images.
Active discussions are underway for The Pig between 4Kids and a number of major licensees in the areas of plush, publishing, partworks, giftware, housewares, bedding, melamine and stationery.
The Dog brand has been successful across Europe and currently has more than 50 licensees on board across EMEA, including Gosh as master toy licensee in the UK. McDonald’s has run three Happy Meal promotions with The Dog in the UK.
