London, UK-based Ludorum, co-founded by HIT alum Charlie Caminada and Rob Lawes, is on track with its first property Chuggington, having just landed international broadcast placement and a global toy partner.

Ludorum’s CGI 52 x 10-minute preschool series will be landing on the BBC (UK), SuperRTL (Germany), TF1 (France) and ABC (Australia), and should start popping up on the skeds in 2009.

Learning Curve has picked up global toy rights for the property that revolves around the adventures of three locomotive engines and is planning to start rolling out product in 2010.

Ludorum is also currently sussing out publishing and home entertainment partners, and expects to have several deals finalized in the coming months.

Expanding its portfolio beyond Chuggington, the company has partnered with D C Thomson & Co to rep global broadcast, home entertainment and consumer products rights for Dennis and Gnasher, characters from Beano. The 52 x 11-minute series is currently in production for delivery in fall 2009, and has been pre-sold to the BBC and Nine (Australia).
