Veteran brand marketing and promotion exec Brenda Freeman has been named to the newly created position of chief marketing officer (CMO) at Turner Animation, young adults and kids media.
In her new role, Freeman will provide the overall marketing vision and leadership for on-air and trade creative services that support Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang. Turner’s kids and YA online businesses and digital enterprises, GameTap and Super Deluxe, will also fall under her remit.
Her duties will include developing the strategic marketing plans directed at building these businesses among viewers, users, ad sales clients, promotional partners, affiliates and industry trade communities.
Previously, Freeman served as SVP of integrated marketing and promotions for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group.
