Scholastic Media is getting the licensing program for Dragon off the ground, as it's just signed inaugural partner Aurora World as the preschool property's exclusive plush licensee. Aurora is planning to produce plush in various sizes, backpacks, pillows and mini-pet carriers for the wee blue guy that should hit retail in early 2008.

K'Nex Brands has awarded French distribution rights for its construction toys to Tomy. The agreement goes into effect January 1, 2008 and includes K'Nex and Kid K'Nex branded building sets.

V-me, the US Hispanic network developed by the Educational Broadcasting Corporation that also boasts a daily preschool block, has inked a carriage deal with DirectTV that will add 11 million homes to its distribution reach.
