While it doesn’t boast the red-carpet prestige of the Oscars or the Emmys yet, Nickelodeon’s first annual Consumee Awards serves an important role – giving props to top-notch licensee R&D.

Winners included Imation/Memcorp, which took home the Most Innovative Licensee prize for a host of consumer electronics that hit retails shelves this fall.

Toy giant Hasbro was recognized for creating eye-catching packaging for its SpongeBob Monopoly Game, and Crocs/Jibbitz walked away with the Best High End Product award for being the first footwear brand to represent Nick characters in the high-end specialty footwear market.

The ceremony honoring innovative ideas from some of Nickelodeon’s key licensees was held at Chelsea Piers in NYC a month ago.
