Animania HD picks up a hat trick

Voom HD Networks' Animania HD has snapped up three new series. Slated to bow on CBBC in the UK, Animalia, based on Graeme Base's bestselling picture book, is now part of the US hi-def network's lineup. The 40 x half hour series, produced by Burberry Productions in association with PorchLight Entertainment, will debut on Friday, November 2 at 8:30 p.m.

Voom HD Networks’ Animania HD has snapped up three new series. Slated to bow on CBBC in the UK, Animalia, based on Graeme Base’s bestselling picture book, is now part of the US hi-def network’s lineup. The 40 x half hour series, produced by Burberry Productions in association with PorchLight Entertainment, will debut on Friday, November 2 at 8:30 p.m.

Animania has also picked up short-form series The Gloops for its preschool block from Spain’s Neptuno Films and will go to air on Saturday, November 3 at 9 a.m.

Rounding out the shopping is 26 x 30 minute Cosmic Quantum Ray, an international co-production from Taffy Entertainment/Mike Young Productions, Method Films, M6, Ki.Ka/ARD, Europool, Telegael, SKC&C, UTV and Ocean Productions. The series premieres on Wednesday, November 7 at 8 p.m.
