New pan-regional on the block KidsCo, the joint-venture between NBC’s Sparrowhawk Media, DIC Entertainment and Corus Entertainment hits the airwaves in five territories today, broadcasting in Romania, Hungary, Russia, Turkey and Poland under carriage deals with a number of cable operators.

The fledging channel also has deals in place to launch in the Ukraine next month and throughout most of Asia Pacific by early 2008. The company is aiming to be available in as many as 40 territories within 18 months, including Latin America.

Content for the channels will be provided by Corus and DIC, as well as by TV-Loonland through a third-party deal signed earlier this year.
