Disney Channel's much anticipated August 17 premier of High School Musical 2 scored a jaw-dropping 17.2 million viewers across the US, and can now lay claim to being the most-watched basic cable telecast ever. The original movie also ranks as the most-watched TV telecast for kids six to 11, and the most-watched entertainment telecast ever for tweens nine to 14.

Techno Source has added to its line of Sesame Street electronic games designed for kids 18 months and up. Two new titles, Sesame Street Exploring Numbers with Elmo and Sesame Street Elmo's Shape Search (US$12.99 apiece), are available now at major US retailers.
