Christy Hui, the creative mind behind Kids’ WB! animated hit Xiaolin Showdown, is back with her latest project Hulala Girls. The multimedia property is looking to pick up traction via its interactive community-based website (www.hulalagirls.com) designed for girls ages six to 12.

Hulala Girls revolves around surfer girls Hana, Mele and Skye as they embark on wave-cresting adventure tales. Books based on the IP will be hitting shelves in the coming months, and Hui says getting a TV series based on the property off the ground is on her to-do list. The new website, meanwhile, invites girls to create their own avatars, chat with each other and play a slate of Green Games designed to impart environmentally responsible ideas and habits.

The casual game lineup currently includes Coconut Slalom, Banana Boat Express and Hulala Dress Up!, and an online store featuring plush dolls sporting environmentally friendly packaging is on-deck to roll out soon. Hulala Girls will donate a portion of its profits to worldwide environmental efforts like Dolls4Trees, Mermaidds4Reefs and Surf4Earth.
