Entering its second year, US multi-platform net qubo is stacking its new season with familiar faces and proven properties from the publishing world.

Entertainment Rights’ Postman Pat will make its US terrestrial debut on the net this fall, while Toronto, Canada-based Nelvana is contributing qubo’s first original series, My Friend Rabbit, based on the book by Eric Rohmann. Both will join returning series Dragon, Veggietales, Jane and the Dragon and 3-2-1 Penguins! on the NBC three-hour Saturday morning block starting October 6. Additionally, to tie the literary properties together, interstitials produced by partner Scholastic themed around the ‘Reading…Everybody’s Doing It!’ slogan will pepper the sked.

The programming block also airs Fridays on ION Television from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and during Saturday and Sunday mornings on Spanish-language net Telemundo, and is available on qubo’s digital cable channel that launched this past January.
