People moves: W!ldbrain names Polis to head marketing department

Marketing and licensing vet Michael R. Polis has been appointed to the newly created position of chief marketing officer for San Francisco, California-based production company W!ldbrain.

Marketing and licensing vet Michael R. Polis has been appointed to the newly created position of chief marketing officer for San Francisco, California-based production company W!ldbrain.

In his new role, he will work closely with the executive producers and creators of W!ldbrain’s new preschool series Yo Gabba Gabba! to further establish the brand. He will also be tasked with managing W!ldbrain’s corporate brand identity and partner relationships.

With nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, licensing and product development, Polis had recently served as SVP of worldwide marketing at The Jim Henson Company, driving all strategic marketing initiatives for the entire library including The Muppets, Fraggle Rock and Labyrinth. Prior to that, Polis was executive director of marketing at Universal Home Entertainment.
