Halifax Film’s Poko takes top ACT award

At a gala ceremony last night held in the Toronto-based HQ of Canuck pubcaster CBC, industry org The Alliance for Children and Television announced the 2007 winners of its annual Awards of Excellence. Twelve prizes in all were given to the best and brightest in Canadian kids TV. Halifax Film's animated preschool series Poko was declared the Grand Prize winner, while marblemedia/Sinking Ship's live-action show for the under-five's This is Emily Yeung went home with the Special Jury Prize.

Twelve prizes in all were given to the best and brightest in Canadian kids TV. Halifax Film’s animated preschool series Poko was declared the Grand Prize winner, while marblemedia/Sinking Ship Entertainment’s live-action show for the under-five’s This is Emily Yeung went home with the Special Jury Prize.
