Nickelodeon expands fruit and veg licensing effort

From organic edamame to green beans, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products is expanding its presence in the healthy food category via new deals with General Mills' Green Giant and Pandol Bros. This summer, shoppers in major grocery stores and warehouse clubs across the US will start to see Nick properties SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! gracing the packages of frozen and canned green beans, broccoli and corn from General Mills, and fresh grapes from Pandol.

From organic edamame to green beans, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products is expanding its presence in the healthy food category via new deals with General Mills’ Green Giant and Pandol Bros. This summer, shoppers in major grocery stores and warehouse clubs across the US will start to see Nick properties SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! gracing the packages of frozen and canned green beans, broccoli and corn from General Mills, and fresh grapes from Pandol.

A recent Nick survey found that 38% of kids ages six to 14 ask for fruits and vegetables in the supermarket today, a significant bump from seven years ago when that number was only 6%.
