Paris-based Xilam is shopping a 75-minute movie based on its Shuriken School franchise around MIPTV.

The movie, co-produced with Spain’s Zinkia, blends digital and traditional animation and should be ready by August 2007. Set during the summer holidays, the film tracks best friends Eizan, Jimmy and Okuni dealing with the kidnapping of Eizan’s dad.

The tv series airs on Nickelodeon in the US, and Jetix in Europe, among other major broadcast outlets, and since its 2006 debut has started carving out international L&M deals.
