Teletubbies celebrate 10th anniversary in high style

The New York City-based office of Ragdoll has inked a deal with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi to help celebrate the Teletubbies 10th anniversary, as the brand reaches out to tween consumers.

The New York City-based office of Ragdoll has inked a deal with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi to help celebrate the Teletubbies 10th anniversary, as the brand reaches out to tween consumers.

The deal includes the auctioning of Teletubbies-inspired bags designed by Mizrahi. The proceeds from the auction, to be held this spring, are earmarked for Cure Autism Now and Autism Speaks charities. Details about the auction can be found at www.TakeTheTeletubbiesTest.com when it launches March 19th. The website is the info hub for 10th-anniversary celebrations.

Mizrahi’s design sketches will end up taking center stage at a trendy Teletubby Pop-Up shop, scheduled to open in New York’s West Village on March 28. The temporary store that will disappear on April 7, is stocking a new line of tween-oriented accessories and apparel. Additionally, a percentage of all merch sold at the store will be donated to the two autism organizations. Finally, Mayor Michael Bloomberg is officially declaring March 28 Teletubbies Day, and the iconic characters will begin their first US tour, stopping at various New York landmarks such as Grand Central Station and the Apollo Theater in Harlem
