AOL UK director and head of commercial development Phil Guest has been tapped by tween/teen social networking website Habbo UK.

Guest’s first order of business as the org’s new MD will be to develop a business strategy that attracts top-tier advertisers to the site. Currently, the UK branch of the international web hub sees more than 650,000 users a month, while its versions worldwide have drawn a total of 7.5 million core users ages 12 to 17.

This is the latest hit for AOL UK. Last week, MD Andy Jonesco announced he was leaving for a post at Sky, and chief marketing officer Tobin Ireland and communications director Jonathan Lambeth also gave notice. State-side, SVP and GM of AOL Teens & Kids Malcolm Bird is slated to leave his post on March 9. Budget cutbacks were cited as the reason for his departure. We’re following up on future plans for Bird’s baby, kids portal KOL.
